Man, I'm totally sick of living in Nevada. Reno has experienced earthquakes these past few weeks, and on Friday (4/25/08) we had a 4.7 I believe. And of course, I'm situated upstairs in a custom loft that didn't come with the house; the previous owners built it. So yeah, terrifying. I'll come upstairs to work on art n stuff that requires Photoshop and then the tectonic plates are all like, "NO, BITCH!" BoOoOoOoOoM!!! And then *cue me to run to the nearest door jamb.*

I'm just worried they're gonna keep getting worse. Here's a map of all the shit that's been going on.

Hiya! I've just started a brand new club, but it won't see the light of day unless people join up! It's a fairly simple club.

is a club on DA that anyone can join. Pick a fandom. It can be anything -- a show, a movie, a book, a pairing, a character, or even a band!

All mediums are accepted!
Traditional/Digital Medium, Crafts, Photography, Literature, Comics, etc.

Draw one hundred pictures centered around the fandom you’ve chosen.
You may use old art, or draw something new. Your art may be anything from a sketch to a finished, full color piece.

Each piece must fit into one of the following subjects listed on my main page.

No time limit on the project. Take as long as you want. Remember, it's just for fun!

When you're completely finished with your FanArt100 Gallery, send us a note and we'll give you a cool stamp to use in your journal or your shoutbox, along with an announcement in our journal! Plus you get featured in our Complete Gallery section!

Hope everyone had a good Easter. I was so thrown off by it being so early. Curse you early spring equinox. Let's see... What's new with me. Still looking for a job which is lame. That's probably the number one thing on my hate list, besides people misspelling the word "what" or "please". ("Wut" "wat" and "plz".) At any rate, I've been working on a few different projects. Here's a thumbnail for a much larger picture. I figure it's much smarter to lay out what I want to achieve on a larger scale. All that blank canvas is overwhelming.

Been trying out Reason 4.0 because I finally got a MIDI cord for the microKORG, yay! Finding tutorials/intelligible forums with decent information about certain genres of music making i.e. trance is rather hard to find. Harrumph.

However, I found an amazing flash map of the evolution of Electronica. If you're a fan of the genre, you NEED to check it out. It has cool examples of tracks pertaining to different types of electronica, and it gives a brief tongue-in-cheek desription of the genre.

So getting back to drawing everyday has been a real challenge for me, but I think it's really helped me these past few weeks. I actually enjoy plopping down in front of the computer and just doodling or drawing on random bits of computer paper (or napkins, my hand, and restaurant menus). Note to self: Must get another sketchbook. I've no idea where my last one disappeared to. I hope to get all my assignments done by the first week of March or so.
